Dick H. Bosma
Newburgh, IN
Dick H. Bosma, 84, of Newburgh, passed away Friday, February 01, 2013, at Deaconess Gateway Heart Hospital. He was born March 10, 1928, in Munster, IN.
He was a Carpenter Contractor and started Bosma Construction with his two sons, Steven and Alan in 1964; he worked there until retirement in 1995. Dick was a faithful member of Chandler Nazarene Church. He was Sunday School Superintendent and also served on church boards for 45 years. He was president of Chandler Holiness Camp for 13 years.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie Lutz, Catherine Lutz; and brother, Garrett Bosma.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn; daughter, Brenda (Leroy) Hartz; sons, Steve (Dawn) and Alan (Julie) Bosma; grandchildren, Brian (Kathy) and Brent (Shannon) Hartz, Shannon (Bill) Casey, Scott (Claire) Bosma, Brandi (Matthew) Elpers, Brooke (Chris) Baker, Rachel Short and Laura (Justin) Govanus; great grandchildren, Zayne, Ian, Brooks and Ashley Hartz, Harman, Hayden, and Heston Casey, Henry Bosma, Ella and Owen Elpers, and Jagger Burns; sisters, Klazina Miller and Johanna Gentry.
Services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, February 4, 2013, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Rev. Kenton Daugherty and Rev. Dennis King, with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville. Friends may visit Sunday, 1-6 PM and Monday, 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
